About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a technique where practitioners stimulate specific points on the body. The common practice of acupuncture usually involves the insertion of thin needles through the skin. Acupuncture is one of the treatment practices in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Other TCM practices include herbal medicine, Tui Na (Chinese therapeutic massage), Cupping (Ba Guan), Scaping (Gua Sha), Blood Letting etc.

Clinic practices suggest that acupuncture can treat or improve many different disorders, including low back pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, knee pain, headache, stress, infertility, neuropathy, MS, thyroid disorders, strokes, acid reflux, to name a few.

Acupuncture has relatively few complications if sterile needles are used with the proper delivery of treatments.

When not delivered properly, acupuncture can cause serious adverse effects, including punctured organs, collapsed lungs, injury to the central nervous system and infections.
